Meet Our Passionate Team
Dr. Dasari
DVM
Dr. Dasari grew up on a farm with a variety of animals including dogs, cats, sheep, and
chickens. He was inspired to become a veterinarian as he grew older, caring and healing
animals on the farm. He received a scholarship from the College of Veterinary Science in
Hyderabad, India and graduated with his DVM in 1998. He then decided to come to the
USA in early 2000 and went on to complete a one year clinical residency at Oklahoma State
University in 2004.
Dr.Dasari worked for the nationâs largest private veterinary company from 2007 to 2019 at
their Virginia, Florida locations before transferring to the Atlanta location in 2018. He has
performed many thousands of elective and advanced soft tissue surgeries throughout his
25 years of career as a vet.
Since 2020 heâs been practicing for local private practices in Buford and midtown before
joining our hospital in 2025.
His philosophy of veterinary medicine revolves around evidence-based practice to enhance
human- animal bond while forging long lasting client-patient relationships.
His professional interests include wellness and preventive dental care, dermatology, internal
medicine, cardiology, senior chronic disease management, soft tissue surgery, limited
holistic treatments and exotic pet care. When not at work, you will find him fishing, playing
pickle ball and cricket, going to the beach, and doing DIY projects , spending time with his
family and his cat Tigger.
Dr. Maria Barahona
DVM
Dr. Barahona is a proud graduate of St. Georgeâs University School of Veterinary Medicine in Grenada, completing her clinical training at Purdue University in Indiana. She earned her undergraduate degree from Berry College in Rome, Georgia. Originally from Honduras and raised in the United States, Dr. Barahona is fluent in both English and Spanish, allowing her to connect with a diverse community of pet families.
At home, Dr. Barahona shares her life with a lively crew of six beloved pets: a Shih Tzu named Rocky, a large mixed-breed dog named Miel, four wonderful catsâVincent, Zelda, Holt, and Loogey. When sheâs not caring for patients or spending time with her fur babies, she enjoys traveling and exploring new places whenever she gets the chance.
