Bathing & Boarding

Holcomb Bridge Animal Hospital prides itself as being a primary care facility. We therefore only offer boarding for our clients pets so that we are better able to provide the extra care they need while they are away from home. Every guest is treated with a flea preventative upon entrance and a bath when they depart.

Bathing and skin treatments, for those with special needs or just to freshen up, are always welcome. All bathed pets have their nails trimmed, ears cleaned, and anal sacs expressed if needed.

Dental Services

According to the American Dental Society more than 80% of adult dogs and 70% of adult cats suffer with gingival disease. The bacteria present in plaque and tartar cause inflammation and infection of the gums and eventually can affect the kidneys, heart and other organs. Bad breath, red and/or bleeding gums, gum recession, tooth discoloration, loose or missing teeth are all signs of this problem and most importantly are almost always accompanied by pain. We recommend and perform the dental procedures needed to maintain your pets oral health.

All Patients receive:

  • Preanesthetic blood screening
  • Pre and post operative pain control
  • Anesthesia specifically tailored to your pets needs
  • Continuous patient monitoring during and after the procedure
  • Dental X-rays when indicated

Diagnostic Services

When time is critical our in-house laboratory and diagnostics center can provide us with the information needed to help your pet immediately. More in depth diagnostics are available when needed for the more complicated health issues.

Some examples are:

  • On site laboratory

Internal Medicine

Every diagnosis is a culmination of the collaborate work of the client, doctor and diagnostic team. It is this collaboration of information that allows us to disclose the cause of a problem and lead us to a method of treatment.

Your input is the critical first step in this team effort by providing the information (or history) of your pets problem.

The backbone of medicine is the comprehensive physical examination. The physical exam should include the evaluation of all the body systems and should be performed whether the patient is seen for a wellness evaluation or because of a problem.

Diagnostics; whether it be laboratory, radiology, ultrasound or other testing, is then chosen to further explore and evaluate the problem.

Therapy or treatment can then be determined.

We offer a variety of services to help diagnose, treat, and manage illnesses that affect all the body systems
